- Government Assistance (JobKeeper & Cashflow Boost): Added $52,821 in 2020; this support wasn’t present the previous year.
Expenses
- Inmate Property Service (Corrective Services NSW): Rose from $179,007 in 2019 to $195,958 in 2020.
- Mates on the Move: Slightly decreased to $249,067 (down from $257,145).
- Capacity Building & Fundraising: Increased to $55,553 from $52,553.
- Reduction in the Value of Investments: $2,250 for 2020; no such reduction was recorded in 2019.
Thanks to stronger revenue, newly available government assistance, and relatively stable core expenses, the Association ended the year in a healthy surplus. With this positive financial outcome, Prisoners’ Aid NSW continues to focus on supporting individuals transitioning out of the justice system, ensuring its programs remain both impactful and sustainable.
